Even past the bleach issue, I can imagine that there might be situations where Persil might perform better for a given user than Tide, even if Tide was better in some lab tests. Washers vary. Clothes being washed varies. What is needed with cleaning varies (Stains? How many? What type? Etc). The local water. Water heater temperature. Even, perhaps, how appeased the Laundry Room Gods are today.

 

Indeed, we see that reality reflected here pretty regularly. Someone asks about a new detergent. And some people here say it's the greatest thing ever. Others say it's OK. Others say it makes Xtra look like Tide.

Prefer Persil over Tide any day

JMO but Persil gets my clothes cleaner and whiter, and rinses out easier than Tide.

Scent preferences are highly personal and everyone is entitled to their opinion but I love the Persil Original scent. It’s so complex and sophisticated and it smells so good to me on the wet laundry. I rinse well, and never find that it lingers, or is too strong, or survives the dryer.

I never buy stain products anymore. Just put 2 in 1 on the stain, do not rub, set it aside for 20 minutes or so, throw in the wash and that stain is history! Every time. It has never failed me. Even if it were never used for anything but stains, it would be a shelf essential.

I want them to bring the power pearls back. Nothing gets whites whiter.
