Hey, I am new to the group, but have read several of your posts and realize this is quite an active, and comprehensive community. Forgive me for my initial post seeking information, but I have been unable to find much information on this unit, other than from this board. Long story short, my mom bought this unit from the estate sale of a close friend. She doesn't think it has ever been used and is in very good condition. These photos aren't the best, and I plan to snap a few myself when I am back home visiting, but she did ask if I could help her gain some perspective on rarity of the machine as well as if there is a market for it. She also has a couple of cool extras, including the original manual, as well as the original warranty card showing a 1 cent stamp to return. Serial number on the card matches the machine, all original.

Attached are photos.

The Launderall was one of the first automatic washers to make it market after the war. It is a very cool machine and several of them have been found over the last 25 years. The biggest challenge with the Launderall is the fact that they do not have a suspension system so they need to be bolted down (with big bolts) to the floor, preferably a concrete floor. So unfortunately they are a challenge to install.

I have the 1949 and 1951 Horton versions of this design. The 1951 model I found had never been used as well. If your curious about the market I paid $150 for each machine about 2 years ago. See this thread in the link below for more.

Unimatic1140, thank you for the response. A very good example of just because something is old, doesn't mean it's worth a whole bunch of money. Thank you for the insight as well as the photos of your collection. Doubt she will want to sell for 150, she mentioned making a decoration out of it for her kitchen.

Again, thank you.

Question on price

I really like the washer. Is your mom open to selling this or like you said just use it for a kitchen decoration. I like it and find it very interesting to ad to my collection of washers. If she wanted to sell it what would she think a fair price would be?
