I've been to her Phoenix house a number of times..
<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">back in the day.</span></span>
<span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">In the late 70s I lived in Phoenix.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>My best friend also lived there doing his undergraduate work.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>He needed a cost effective living arrangement.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>He was friends with her so she told him if he took care of her pool he could live rent free in the pool house which was set up like a little apartment.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>He did that for a number of years.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The job was pretty easy because she was gone so much.</span></span>
<span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Every year she had a big party (I don’t remember what the purpose was) at her home and every year it was catered by the Playboy club.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The waitresses were Playboy bunnies (Yawn) as were the bar tenders.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They had an island in the middle of the pool with white doves and I’m still not really sure how they got them to stay there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They must have clipped their wings.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It was quite the affair.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Lots of local celebs, etc.</span></span>
<span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I had become friendly with her from visiting Wayne and was lucky enough to get invited to one of the parties and it was really something.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I had seen the outside of the house many times and knew there was a fabulous kitchen but until this day had never been inside.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I saw a few gold records (I don’t remember how many) on the family room walls and the living room had the longest pile pink shag carpet I have ever seen.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>My first thought when I saw it was “How the hell do you vacuum this stuff?”<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She said she didn’t know how “they” did it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The room had pink carpet, pink walls and the only piece of furniture was one of those round things you can sit around.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It was velvet and the color of Pepto Bismol.</span></span>
<span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I asked her if she minded if I took a peek at the kitchen.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She said not at all help yourself.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She said she remembered Wayne telling her of my kitchen obsession which is what they must have called us closeted appliance lovers of the time LOL.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>While in the kitchen Wayne said you think this is something look at this and he took me in the garage.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>There was a Rolls in there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>What a freaking cool car that was.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>All the times I had visited and he held out about the Rolls.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I guess she seldom drove it so I didn’t even know it was there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I got to meet a lot of really interesting people and the really funny part was all I really wanted to do was check out the two KD-12s she had in the kitchen and take a ride in the Rolls.</span></span>
<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">In person she was the same way she was on stage, just a real hoot!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span>
