Had a few minutes to kill in a small town I don't like and spotted a junk store.
I found these two lanterns for a dollar a piece. They are really heavy duty metal inside and slam shut like a mouse trap.
Who in the world is Rusty Warren? Is she English?
No date on the album but it says she has an entire cult of lusty Rusty fans at the Golden Falcon club in Fort Lauderdale,Florida.
I don't have a record player. I may have to get one. I couldn't leave Rusty behind

On our road trip to pick up our new-to-us Maytag pair last weekend, we were thrilled to hear some of Ms. Warren’s songs on the radio, including the classic, Bounce Your Boobies.

Omg..I haven't heard the name Rusty Warren in like 40 years, I got ahold of her album and snuck to listen to it when I was a teen..I remember one song about mamory glands so funny. Rusty is american...all very old funny *dirty* songs and talk, I'd buy a record player just to hear it again....cheryl

Cool find!  Funny how there was an era of these risqué numbers - I remember hearing them mostly in the UK, though.

If you need a record player, let me know...  I have a few more than Hubby would like me to have... LOL

I've been to her Phoenix house a number of times..

<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">back in the day.</span></span>

<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">In the late 70s I lived in Phoenix.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>My best friend also lived there doing his undergraduate work.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>He needed a cost effective living arrangement.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>He was friends with her so she told him if he took care of her pool he could live rent free in the pool house which was set up like a little apartment.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>He did that for a number of years.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>The job was pretty easy because she was gone so much.</span></span>

<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Every year she had a big party (I don’t remember what the purpose was) at her home and every year it was catered by the Playboy club.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>The waitresses were Playboy bunnies (Yawn) as were the bar tenders.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>They had an island in the middle of the pool with white doves and I’m still not really sure how they got them to stay there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>They must have clipped their wings.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>It was quite the affair.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Lots of local celebs, etc.</span></span>

<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I had become friendly with her from visiting Wayne and was lucky enough to get invited to one of the parties and it was really something.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I had seen the outside of the house many times and knew there was a fabulous kitchen but until this day had never been inside.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I saw a few gold records (I don’t remember how many) on the family room walls and the living room had the longest pile pink shag carpet I have ever seen.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>My first thought when I saw it was “How the hell do you vacuum this stuff?”<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>She said she didn’t know how “they” did it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>The room had pink carpet, pink walls and the only piece of furniture was one of those round things you can sit around.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>It was velvet and the color of Pepto Bismol.</span></span>

<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I asked her if she minded if I took a peek at the kitchen.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>She said not at all help yourself.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>She said she remembered Wayne telling her of my kitchen obsession which is what they must have called us closeted appliance lovers of the time LOL.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>While in the kitchen Wayne said you think this is something look at this and he took me in the garage.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>There was a Rolls in there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>What a freaking cool car that was.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>All the times I had visited and he held out about the Rolls.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I guess she seldom drove it so I didn’t even know it was there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I got to meet a lot of really interesting people and the really funny part was all I really wanted to do was check out the two KD-12s she had in the kitchen and take a ride in the Rolls.</span></span>

<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">In person she was the same way she was on stage, just a real hoot!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span>

4 those of you who are not familiar with her signature song:

"Bounce your boobies, get into the swing
Rock your Knockers, the swing is everything.
Just admit it girls, it sure feels great
To make the swinging ooooooh titillate."

another rusty song

Pull down all the shades, and dim the lights;
Close up all the doors, and windows tight;
Gonna teach you all to ball tonight,
RUSTYS back in town.
