Does anyone know if KA made a Catalyst version ? Have this machine in Bisque or almond or whatever KA called it.The best direct drive overall I've ever used in 37 years.wish these were closer.

Is the ultra low /ultra low spin low the whole time during the cycle or does it switch to medium speed?

Chet i believe the ultra low spin ramps up to low. I'll have to check again as I'm not sure now. Don't use it much.

Pat that is interesting. Does anyone know why that is? Personally I think fine Hand-Washables are best suited for extra slow spinning.
Spinning compresses fabric against the drum but the items are otherwise stationary with respect to it so there's much less wear vs. agitation beating. The primary concerns w/respect to spin speed are compression wrinkles (perm press) and fragile fabrics getting pulled through and possibly tearing on the edges of basket perforations.
Some brands tout basket or drum designs that help avoid such damage.
