Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

1988 700T models. Dryer serial Jan 1988, washer isn't clear but seems as well. Second-generation KA laundry, which were the first KAs with dual-action agitators, although not yet the larger style (note that the base doesn't cover the perforations on bottom of the basket) with 3-speed motor. The washer has a 2-speed motor. The Heavy cycle is high agitation, Extra Wash is a true Super Wash with prewash and partial drain. Regular and Perm Press are high and low agitation. No stepped-spin.

These are also the first rotary-timer models. The 900S and 900T were electronic. The 800S and 800T were mechanical pushbutton with rapid-advance timer behind the panel like a Superba dishwasher.

Lovely washer. Just wish it also offered warm/warm but in the least it offers hot/warm which is great in of itself.

The push/pull Knob is a bit cluttered. This is how I like to imagine that Kitchen-Aid:

Question- I notice the on heavy after the half tub drain the wash time is only 8 minutes and 8 minutes total for the regular wash. All rinses are 2 minutes instead of the typical 4. Is there a reason for this? Is the blue agitator that much rougher than the others which existed before and after?

Whirlpool's cycle sequence for KAWE700T- it is in no way altered or photo shopped to fit my desires or preferences.
