KDS 17 help!

hello all

i was hoping to find some help here. I have a KDS17 (and and 18 in storage) that is having problems. on the full wash cycle it is stuck in the prewash and won't cycle thru. it will still cycle thru on the short cycle mode, which seems weird to me. any advice would be appreciated.

So a cycle stall as well as no washing action per your other post?

Try running it on the Sani cycle or the Soak cycle and see if it fixes the problem or if it still stalls. You may have a worn cam in the timer block and it will stall again in those cycles too. On the short wash, it skips the first prewash via the rapid advance timer so it won't stall as it has been doing because it starts after the dead spot.Chances are you will have to replace the timer to fix the problem. Check it put and keep us posted.
