Kelvinator Electric Range Model ER-455

I bought this range a few weeks ago. I love it, works great. However, I cannot find another just like it online, or a user/owners manual. I have searched by model number and looked for a list of Kelvinator models and checked ebay, all to no avail. The only one I find is the one that I bought!

I would like instructions on using the cooking timers and figure out how to use the left side of oven... is it a warming oven or storage? I dont see any heating elements in it.

Can anyone be of any help?

I'll hazard a guess that if your range had two ovens, there would be two oven control knobs.

 

Others can perhaps advise on whether the left side functions as a warmer or is just for storage, and may be able to provide instructions on timer use.

Congraulations on your beautiful range

ER455 was a 1955 model with single oven and a deep well that does not convert to a 4th surface unit, according to the description in the Appliance Trade In Blue Book for 1960. If the left side drawer were a warming drawer, there would be an ON/OFF switch on the panel labeled "Warmer."

When my mother's parents moved from Hibbing to Milwaukee, there was a near bottom of the line 40" Kelvinator from around 56 in their new house. There was also a two burner gas hotplate in the basement laundry area where they cooked sauerkraut so that it could stink up both floors of the house.
