Kenmore 800's Matched Set for Sale - Lansing, MI - $75!

Hey, I gotta ask --- How did you find a Kenmore set in E. Lansing when you are from Baltimore????
I go through Craig's List from time to time looking for my "dream" machine, a '59 Frigidaire custom Imperial, but I only look in areas where I might conceivably be able to get to and haul my find home. That would be a bit of a trek to and from Baltimore, unless you're in Baltimore MI!
I'm only 40 miles from E. Lansing, it's one of my stops on Craig's List...

Hi, I search the internet once in a while since there seems to be a serious vintage washer shortage in my area..! My favorite set that I use regularly are '71 Lady K's that came from Chicago and Denver and are in excellent shape. A shipping tip: I paid the seller of the dryer a few extra $$ to put the machine on a pallet and wrap it up for me, so shipping was around $165 on ABF vs. C&F's fee of $500.

I'm surprised we haven't from JasonL on this set. Of course these are probably a little too far away for him.
Gorgeous set. I think I've fallen in love with 1970 Kenmore 800s. They embody everything I could wish for in vintage Kenmores. Unfortunately I am not able to start a collection of any kind, or I would probably be all over these.

James, you are correct. You can't get much closer to heaven than a matched 800 set.

kenmore guy -- any search tips? Is there a way to search all of Craig's List instead of just area by area?
I wish I had know there was a market for "classic" appliances about 10 years ago when I replaced my TOL Lady Kenmore from '73, you know the one with the burled fake wood drop down cover for the controls, the one with all the pushbuttons. I still have the matching gas dryer, in storage. Fair shape, don't now what it's worth.
Any search tips would be much appreciated....
