I have an nice old Lady who needs to be taken apart and renovated.

Can any of you Kenmore/Whirlpool experts direct me to a thread or threads where a dryer is broken down, repaired and rebuilt?

Thanks.

Ken, here's a thread about the '65 Lady K dryer that's now my daily driver in St-Liboire:

I did a good bit of work on the '66 Inglis (also a Whirlpool clone) dryer but I didn't post all the photos.  Let me know if you have any questions where a picture may be worth that proverbial thousand words!

Tips

Look up Youtube videos on kit number 4392065. That is the kit with the belt, rollers, and idler pulley. Those videos will show you how to get into the cabinet, where the parts are located, and how to replace them.

I love those Whirlpool 29" dryers!

It is fair to assume that the KitchenAid dryers are as reliable and as fast as the Kenpools? I really like the drum design of the old dryers with the two integral bumps and the one attached baffle, but I wouldn't mind having an extra large capacity dryer that is at least as fast as the standard ones.
