Kenmore Elite bowl lift 600w mixer

Does anyone know if these are repairable? Saw one on eBay for cheap, but seller says it doesn’t work. Blue light flashes and timer display shows E1.

I read the manual and it says this happens if plugged in when switch isn’t set to off. Otherwise seems to be a control issue. Some sites said it is the potentiometer.

Is this something that can be cleaned or repaired?

Just wondering because I always kinda wanted one of these. But I’m thinking KitchenAid might be better choice.

Apparently these Kenmore mixers are made by Electrolux of Europe or AEG, pictures of both brands look identical to the Kenmore Elite tilt head model. However it seems the bowl lift model might be only sold as a Kenmore as I can’t find any with the other names.

Believe they came from China...may be also branded E'lux/AEG in other countries. I was going to get one at a going-out-of-business sale at Sears, but haven't made it to any of the closing stores.
