Kenmore for rent?

A new rent-to-own business opened recently not far from me.  Today a flyer for that business came in the mail; the name of the business is "Buddy's Home Furnishings".  On the back page of the flyer they show some major appliances, with prices.  At the top of the page is a photo of an Amana laundry pair (logo is obvious in the photo); below the photo the caption reads "Kenmore Washer & Dryer Combos Starting at $17.99/wk".

 

So my first question is - are Kenmore appliances now available outside the Sears network?  And if so, maybe the photo is a mix-up?  Or, is this bad advertising and "Buddy's" is actually offering Amana appliances with the disclaimer that they're manufactured by Sears/Kenmore?

Perhaps the rental is on reconditioned machines?

Most likely the ad was made by a publicity agency, where they didn't know a thing about washers.
