Hi all. After long time out of action, and many request, I have new video of my Roto-Flex agitator. This is my favourite agitator and the most interesting design in my opinion, (after Philco Automagic, lol). Sorry, I combined this video with my "brand new" 1959 washer. I hope you enjoy.

Hi Rodrigo -

I'm glad you're back on here! I have seen your videos, and watched with great enthusiasm for a couple reasons. First, I think the Brastemp machines are really interesting, as I always knew that there were South American machines similar to those made for the U.S. market but I had never seen one. Also, I think your 1975 Kenmores are really great; I grew up with a washer like that.

The thought of the white Roto-Flex being for a repair part is a very possible reason. It is costly to change colors when moving from color to color molding, so if white was already in the machinery to mold something else like one of the white agitators, then it is very possible that they made the replacements in white as well. Did you find this agitator in the states?

Thanks for the cool videos Rodrigo!

Gordon

That was awesome!

I can't believe how gentle the Roto Flex is on a small load. At first I thought it was a full load because of minimal thrash and splash. That D ring can still trick me as I could not see the water line. But once that str8 vane started going, the mystery was over. What a contrast between the two agitators where wash action is concerned. Thank you for sharing those videos with us.

Have a good one,
James

Hi Gordon. My uncle found the agitator in the States. By the way (august'08) is the 4th anniversary of my Roto-Flex.

James - The deep action of the roto flex wash well without thrash or "splashes". When I wash big loads of sheets the rollover looks better than Whirlpool surgilator.

Oh I am sure the Roto Flex washes effectively. It fascinates me that there is such a difference in how both perform.

Have a good one,
James

Many Thanks!

Not only did I collect your 1959/Roto demo, but also found the two 1975 Kenmore washer videos. Furthermore, found three Westinghouse washer videos you posted as well. Again, all six have been added to my growing collection. Ah yes! The sootheing sounds of classic washers. Again, many thanks!--Laundry Shark
