Hey everyone I've got a question for those experienced with DD KM/WP washers. I've got a mid 90's model Kenmore 80 series washer model # 110.22894100 I'm wanting to replace the crappy triple action agi with a teal kitchenaid agitator. The kenmore is a 3 speed motor, as was the kitchenaid that the agitator came out of, question I've got is can I switch agitators out?

first of all is this the large base agitator from the KA?....

for whats its worth, that agitator will work no matter what...for the most part, KA used medium/slow agitation with that larger base unit....I put these in 2 speed machines, with great rollover results....some claim transmission premature wear, but never had an issue.....

if anything, use this larger base with low or medium agitation and and spin speed, although I always preferred high speed for both....

I match mine with a white spiral, I just don't like the blue.....

triple action...that has a unique way to dismantle it and get it out....

this video will give you an idea of how to get the spiral and dogs out.....one more bolt on top of the base needs removed, and it should all lift out...

its easier to explain thru this video that trying to tell you.....he's using needlenose pliers to remove that plastic bolt, I use a large drive extension on a ratchet.....a very wide blade screwdrivers works too....what is ever easier for you....

not many removal videos for this type of dual action....but you should get the general idea...

OMG!!!

Thanks so much yogi, you were an amazing help, I took the extension and it came right off, poped the green one on, tightened the bolt and it was done. I can't tell you how I stressed cause I had never seen a set up like that In an agitator.
