Kirby collection

I know some people here collect Kirbys and I was wondering where I could find pics? I am lookin for the Kirby my grandparents have, I think I have found it, and I know that someone here has the exact same model, I just can't remember the details, can anyone help jog my memory?

Model Number?

Do you know the model number? I have them starting with the 519 and have most of them up through the Legend II. Otherwise try Charlie Lester's site at www.137.com and look for the history of the Kirby 500 series.

AHA!!!!! It's the Dual Sanitronic 50!!!! But the bag is a little different and there is a headlight on my grandma's... On hers the little Kirby symbols are spaced farther apart and there is a head light on hers... Is that still the Dual Sanitronic 50? Or am I way off?

This is the Dual 50. This one was rebuilt at the factory and so came back with a later bag, the one that they are currently making for this machine. This was the only machine that had the lighted logo on the top of the headlight cap. Sorry this isn't a better picture. One of my fav's!! The only other tan (Sirocco) ones were the 562 and the Sanitronic VII. The Dual 50 was the first two speed model.

What does the two speed do? Is that like for if your in a hurry or somethin? lol!

Two Speeds - Hence Dual

Lower speed with the rug nozzle on and a higher speed when you attach the hose for all your above the floor cleaning!! Actually not bad suction for an upright of the era.

Dearest Fred, Do you have the manual to that Sanitronic 50?

Is there any way I can get a copy of the manual for the same Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50???? My Ex-grandmother in-law just gave me one with all the bells and whistles but no manual. Can you or someone please HELP!?! I have searched all over for it but can't find it! Let me know if you or anyone can help me out.
