Hi folks
Just trying to get at a problem from a few months ago.

This is an old dishwasher - probably 20+ years - made by Hobart in Canada.
According to the info on the tag:

Model: KDS - 20C
ML: 27447
Serial: 600275

On the front it says
Kitchen Aid Energy Saver V Superba by Hobart

It has been working fine until I decided to change the kitchen counters, a few months ago, and now I get a small leak at both bottom corners of the door. I inspected the bottom right and left seals and they look fine.
Any ideas, suggestions, recommendations is appreciated.

Does anyone know where I can get repair manual such as diagrams and pictures for this model? If I need new seals, are they still available?

Beside the small leak it is still a good working machine and I hate to trough it out.

Lorenzo, did you put the bottom rack back in the correct direction? The two front corners of the bottom rack have some "deflectors" built into it that keep the water from coming out the front of the door. By correct direction, I mean the large plates are placed front to back on the left hand side of the rack and the smaller stuff is placed on the right hand side of the rack going rich to left.

I suspect that something in the configuration with the new counters has changed the way the door seals on your dishwasher. I had this same thing happen with my 25-year old dishwasher recently when I adjusted one of the leveling feet a few weeks after installation. I did so without removing the screws where the top of the machine is secured to the underside of the countertop. As soon as I removed those screws, everything popped into place and I had no more leaks from the door. I re-fastened the upper screws into new holes and everything has been fine since.[this post was last edited: 8/15/2010-13:32]
