My 6 year old dishwasher is no longer heating the water or drying. I've replaced the heating element and the thermostat and the problem continues. Just pulled out the control board and I may have found the culprit.
The HTR MAINS connector on the board has a burned terminal and it smells burnt. The burn is also on the connector. The black insulation inside the door has a burn where the wire was sitting.
Before I order, I wanted to check with the experts here and see if that makes sense. I really don't want to order a $200 part that I can't return if it won't fix the problem.
