It seems there are lots of KitchenAid machines rattling about lately..

Lots of recent scores/finds and plenty to choose. IMHO, this machine is probably well worth the time, and you could use it as Daily Driver, maybe finding a non-working one to use as a cannibal machine...

Looks like either a KDP18 or KDP20.

For sure,   The and 20 series had 4 indicator lights on the left side and a different control panel.

OMG

I bought one of these models (yes, a KDP-18) for my Parents (with their money, of course) in 1978 and it did the dishes for them for 29 years! They loved it. Never so much as a whimper and it performed like a champ! Great model, even if it didn't heat its water. I offered it for free on this site 4 years ago and no one was interested at the time this picture was shot in 2008. It's probably 20 feet under fill in the Salisbury land-fill by now along with the rest of what was a very nicely built and durable vintage 1953 kitchen.

 

The realtor told us that it didn't matter whether we updated the kitchen before the sale or not because the first thing that the little rich princesses do when they buy their country house in the Berkshires is to rip out whatever kitchen is in the house, no matter how new it is, and replace it with their own granite counters, Sub-Zero's, Vikings, and Miele's. That's what you can do when hubby works in finance and gambles with other people's money! Aren't they fabulous!
