Yep, the price is high and worse than that, I would bet there are few parts left for it out there. A neighbor put her set on the curb a few weeks ago and I was about to appropriate them. But when I checked the model numbers and parts availability for what the repair man said was wrong with the units,many of the parts were already obsoleted.
Some of them are unique to the KA product line and many are the standard issue WP parts, but I figured it wasn't worth it since both the washer and the dryer each needed parts that were NLA.
Be careful on these!

Other than cosmetic parts, I wonder what is different. The dryer appears to be a standard 29" Whirlpool product other than the control panel, and slight cabinet styling differences. Washer seems to be very similar to any other DD machine, again with slight styling changes. Were there internal differences?

These machines are a little better than their standard whirlpool brethren. I'm not sure exactly, I know Dadoes will know everything. They have a stepped spin feature
