I have a Model KDS-21 and would like to find a Key Pad panel that is in better condition than the one we have, or if someone knows a way of refinishing the plate that has the button labels so that they are still visible. I would even buy an entire door if it was in good shape.

Keep an eye out on craigslist for a KDS-21. These show up often enough and you could likely get an entire donor machine for less than a door or the control panel face plate assembly would cost if purchased as parts.
IIRC, there are two possible styles: the standard Superba with simulated burl wood, and the "Monterey" which is black instead of fake wood.
