KitchenAid Superba by Hobart (KDS16) Solenoid

Recently purchased a home built in 1952 that has been very well maintained. I was thrilled to find it had a vintage dishwasher that worked.... kind of! With a little bit of help from a new friend, who loves all vintage appliances. I found out I am in need of a solenoid, at least that is what I am hoping. The dishwasher runs but doesn't drain. Does anyone here have this part or know where I might find it? Any help would be appreciated.

Just to confirm -- did he bypass the timer and check the solenoid when hooked up directly to 120V?  Did he check connections at the timer?

 

I can't say for sure, but it's probably easier to find a solenoid than a new timer.

Non Draining KD-16 DW

The solenoid-drain-valve is one part on these DWs and is still easy to find.
