More specifics, Please
The number you gave is not the actual model number of the dishwasher, that is the motor model number but can cover the 15, 16 or 17 series machines as they all used the same motors.
What exactly cuts off? Does the whole machine go dead or just the pump? If it is the pump, check and make sure that the motor isn't all covered solid with dust that has clogged the bottom of the motor. These motors all had cooling fans on the top of them to cool the stators. If the bottom is clogged with dust and debris, the motor could overheat and the thermal protector would cut off the motor and then reset automatically when it cools off. In the winter, the motor may not heat up as much as you mentioned and show no signs of problems.
The fans were made of metal so they rarely broke unlike the later models which had plastic fans.
The model number on the 15 series was on the top left corner of the door and the later series had the model number on the left side of the tank itself where the door fits in. Check those areas for the proper number so we can give a more educated guess as to the possible problem and solution.
