Congrats! You have a very versatile dependable top of the line washer and dryer there.
Nice set. My cousin Melanie had a similar set in white. The washer got knocked over when a runaway car crashed through their house.

You will enjoy. I hope that you can drain the rinse water out onto the soil to replenish the water table. Are these in New York or Florida?

Wanted that set they also had it in monochromatic white, was this the only time Whirlpool produced the agitator in that color? They were hard to find in my area so ended up with the Kenmore 90 Series somewhat the close to the KA's How many years did Whirlpool produce those sets?

This particular set was built in 2002. Whirlpool used kitchenaid as their premium laundry products from 1986-2006 when they purchased Maytag it replaced kitchenaid as the premium line. The turquoise agitator was replaced by a white one in the mid nineties.
That agitator with the wide skirt was used in the machines with the three speed motor, but the KA models used that color agitator for part of the run, I believe. My KA set is the series with the black control panel, nearer the start of the line. There is no way that Maytag machines could replace KitchenAids.
I agree Tom, the KitchenAid laundry was in a league all their own. I personally think WP should have kept the KA laundry line design and simply changed the brand label from KA to Maytag.
I was transferred from Houston area to Central Texas in January 1986. I went back to Houston for a visit and wedding in 1987. Visited friends from church and they had a new KA washer. This was after I'd bought the Lady Kenmore set in October 1986. I could tell a difference in quality of the cabinets and definitely the difference in wash action, I don't think I would have ended up despising the rapid agitation DD style as much if I'd known about KA DDs.
