Browsing thru local Facebook Marketplace listings I came across this ad for a vintage dryer. It's a vintage Eaton's dryer which I think was made by GE?

However, more interesting is the "not listed" washer beside it labelled Kitchentek. I think I'm familiar with that brand name for lower quality countertop kitchen toys like mixers and toasters, but not washers!

Very Interesting!

I’ve never seen that name before! I wonder if it was an in-house brand for someone, kind of like Wards Signature or Kenmore. Looks like a rebranded late 80’s Speed Queen.

Its a Speedqueen, we had the identical machines here branded as Kleenmaid from the late 80's until the company went broke.

The Kleenmaid machines had painted tops, in which over time you could peel the coating off the metal.

What a curiousity…

Omg, I just posted this in Wash-O-Matic on Facebook. Speed Queen! Very interesting. I thought maybe Maytag or Speed Queen — the lid looks very Maytag! I have never seen a KitchenTek washer before. Very cool. I’m also local! Here’s some more pictures of the washer.
