Yes we all have problems with parts of our bodys wearing out. I personally for the past 8 years have dealt with agonizing knee pain. 24/7. Nothing has helped short of a knee replacement which i am not to keen on. The owner of the gym I workout saw me limping out one day and said maybe he had a possible cure for my problem. He has the same issue. No cartlidge left between the knee cap and patella. He showed my this brace he had and said it worked great on him. I ordered one two weeks ago and it's nothing short of a miracle!! I have been wearing it all day. I put it on in the morning after showering and take it off at night before bed. I have had ZERO knee pain since I have been wearing this. My migrains have reduced almost to none now that I am not in constant pain. I have no interest in this company whatsoever. I just wanted to pass this info on to others here who may have the same issue. I know chuck/perc of prince will want one of these. This is not a bulky brace. You don't notice you have it on while wearing pants. I forget I have it on during the day it's that comfortable.

The velcro straps on the top and bottom are adjustable as you prefer. When running I have them quite snug so no drifting down the leg. When working out I loosen it up a little so that the muscles can flex harder than when running. When sitting around working on the computer I loosen it up a bit more since I am not moving and it keeps everything in place. I just love this thing.

Does it have hinges?

I've been looking for 3rd party reviews of this knee brace, but have been unable to find any.

I could use one or maybe even two of these, if they work.

Thats cool

Living with rheumitiod arthritis and ankle displasya most of my life, i have alot of trouble with my knees.. My right one, esp. This might be the ticket to relieve some of the pain

Yes sudsmaster it has hinges. These and the metal rods are covered by the brace. They remove for laundering. Not sure about insurance covering it, but I was going to look at my policy to see if it covers ortho devices. This is not one of those big bulky devices, that you have seen people wearing playing tennis and such.

Back in the 80's I spent $100 having a cast made of my knee at a doctor's office. It was supposed to be used by a brace company to make a sports brace. The cost of the sports brace was supposed to be paid for by my medical insurance. Well, the company folded and I wound up paying the $100 with no results.

The same company revived and tried to get me to do it again. I wouldn't buy it.

Now, this brace goes for about $100, and if it works it would be no worse than what I paid out for nothing 20 years ago.

I do have an aluminum knee brace from about 30 years ago, prescribed not too long after the injury. It was the same design as what Joe Namath wore, I was told. It worked, sort of. But the thing was so heavy that it wound up sliding down my leg if I tried to run and stop with it (as in running the bases) and eventually I gave up on it. So I managed without but my running days were pretty much over.
