Large Capacity Frigidaire vintage washer with window! -

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hee-hee!

I saw this, and would love it to play with. It's a faux-1-18, Westinghouse design, with the hopeless curved-vane agitator. Otherwise, it looks like any other Westy inside; recirculating tray lint filter, and single fill point. Too bad it's not the four-head fill or Jet-Circle! That'd be kind of fun--but only so much, with that agitator, unless you had the ramp or straight-vane sitting in your storage shed.

i just emailed the seller....

so, let's see what happens.....

hopefully there isn't any problems with this washer. i like the window in the lid. so, let's see what happens.

is there anything i should know about the frigidaire washers? are they prone for leaking or anything like that??

and does anybody know what kind of agitator this frigidaire would have?? is it the early, skinny agitator that tended to tangle the washload into a tight rope of clothes??

i'll keep you all updated on what happens.....

hey roto204...

i'm sorry, were you interested in this frigidaire washer??? did you contact the seller already???

if so, i will back off & give you first choice. i wouldn't want to step on anybody's toes.

if you are going to try for this washer, let me know & keep us posted!!

;o)

Christina,
This machine has a regular ramped agitator according to Nate which would not make this one of the fun loving jetcone agitators with a window. (thwap, thwap, thwap)

What type of agitator are you looking for in a Frigidaire?

No, have at!

This is not an up-and-down Frigidaire, it's a Westinghouse clone, produced after WCI took Frigidaire over from General Motors.

They're fun, but if you're looking for a "thumper," this isn't it.

washdaddy/rick.....

i thought if this was the "jetcone" agitator, and it being in phoenix for only $75, it would be neat to get, especially with the window in the lid. plus, i seen a youtube video of a frigidaire that had a "hand wash" cycle and i really liked the slow "thumping" agitation on that washer & was hoping this frigidaire would have that gentle agitation too. but if it's not the kind of agitator that goes up & down, than i'll pass.

anyways, i did get an email from the seller/owner and she said someone was supposed to be coming to look at them the day before yesterday.

:o)

roto204....

thanks for letting me know that this frigidaire isn't a "thumper". i think i'll pass this one up.

thanks....

:o)

frigidscare!

They actually kept the same styling until the late 80s
I think after electrolux took over wci thay had the sence to at least make them look different. I was hoping with the electrolux takeover they might have tried to make the GM machines again but (no such luck!)
