Last of the real Maytag washers.

It’s probably in LA T-Model something.

This was the last album in the best performing helical drive washer Maytag ever built.

The upgrade in for agitation and motor carriage design made it a great performer, unfortunately some aspects of the machine has been cheapened by this time you’re more likely to have outer tub rust issues etc. with these.

IIRC Maytag replaced the LAT 2500 and the LAT 3500 by the LAV3600. But I don't remember that shaded part around the dials. But I'm not sure about that.

The Maytag website was one of the first websites I stumbled on when I went online at the end of 1997. But perhaps that is more a subject for the thread "You Know You're A Member..." lol

LAV3600 - last of the true Maytags

This is indeed an LAV3600. Greg had mentioned once that the last of them (2005-2006) had a gray tub vs. the earlier white tubs.

I saw a similar 3600 at the local Habitat store a few years ago. Didn't have room then to bring it home, otherwise I would have grabbed it as it was the closest to the end I had seen out in the wild. Serial code GP August 2005.
