Saved it from the crusher this set was made in 1984 and has the Lady Kenmore name plates before they swithed them to the Limited Editions models up until 1986. FYI Sears was sued back in the earlt 80's for using the lady kenmore name to be sexest. When they found out that it was most men who purchased the machines.

Fancy machines. I always wondered where the "Lady Kenmore" name went. I figured it was a casualty to this politically correct day and age. I like those touchbutton control panels there! I couldn't imagine anybody junking such nice machines, they're practically brand new. The least the previous owners could do was donate them to a charity. WEll, their loss, your gain!!!

Cool machine; I love those Electronic aka Solid State Lady Kenmores!!

And that Dual-Action agitator can make WAVES as well...I know by experience!

Steve, yes, the belt-drive Kenmores have a 68 OPM stroke on Normal, and 42 OPM on Gentle. And while the DD (Shredmore) version of the Dual-Action is downright boring IMHO, the BD version is just the opposite. VERY fun to watch in action!!

Re: Lady-K's

I've got that exact same Set, but mine are in Coffee Color and I bought mine new in 1982. They will hopfully be able to come out of just sitting real soon and be operating again, along with my Parent's 1995 Lady-K Mechanical Set, that are in the Almond Color.

Re: OOPs:

I just realized that I meant to write that my Parent's Lady-K Mechanical Set were a 1985, not a 1995 Year Model Washer and Dryer Set, they are in the Almond Color though.

Those do look very nice, that is a great dryer design. Do all the controls and cycles seem to work OK? I saw a similar set at an estate sale a while back that looked barely used, they certainly were sharp looking. They were snapped up quick too, when I went back the second day they were gone.

I bought a Direct-Drive Lady Kenmore set in 1987 when I was still working for Sears and I have catalogs up to '93 with Ladies offered although they were mechanical controls.

Lady Kenmore, Her Majesty, Empress, Dutchess, Miss America...only history now.

I had two of these sets before one in coffe and the black limted editon "belt driven" I lost in the fire and have been looking to replace them they are usally ready for the crusher. last friday I had to drop some parts off at customers on they way home traffic sucked it was snowing just a crappy day. so wandering out back to took a peak and I about wet myself. I couldn't get them in the truck fast enough they had just come out of a home that got new Neptunes. The washer needed a little TLC

New triple dispenser
Belt
Snubber pad

Dryer gave it a tune up
Belt
Rollers
Pully
And beefed up the element to a 5600 watt "that will be sucking the wattage from the coatage" (Toggle that's for you)

I was going to just leave them in the garage since I had just moved the Maytags in, but I love all the bells and whistles.

These babys run like new and my new motto is " there's more to life than water conservation when it comes to style"

The best part is since Whirlpool drop the control boards I just attented a convention in vegas and found a place the has been rebuilding ERC"S control boards for ranges Etc. Needles to say I thought I would test them out well they had them ordered them up so I should be able to play with them for years.

And yes these clean so much better than the DD

Great Save!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be reunited with my Lady Kenmores that I purchased in the 80's. They are the grey colored ones. I sold them when I lived in Tampa to a good friend, and now she tells me she is ready for a front loader. Guess what. This is too wild. I get them back after almost 20years to date that I purchased them brand new!!!!

Steve

That is the dream Lady Kenmore set mentioned in my profile.

They are beautiful.........just beautiful. I could listen to a belt-driven Kenmore all day.

Makes me want to go Appliance shopping instead of work today.

Sexist indeed

Some people really need to chill out with this PC crap. How long before the feminazis attack sears for having CRAFSTMAN tools. What next? Craftsperson? Puh-leeze.

Otherwise, beautiful LK's! If only they were black.
