I acquired this set between Christmas and New Years and just had a little time to tinker with the washer today. I replaced the agitator coupling as you could turn the agitator back and forth with your hand due to the rubber separating from the coupling. Cleaned it up a little and ran a few loads. Works great! It has a pinhole in the drain hose but other than that no leaks. I believe the pan and mini basket were probably with the machine, but I believe they were thrown away because the people that bought the house they were in did not know what they were. Thought I had a picture with the matching gas extra large capacity dryer but I guess not.

Cool A Spot-Scrubber

Hi Melvin and Jon, Yes I have never seen a MOL SS before, these were fun washers.

Melvin if you need the mini-basket for this washer I probably have an extra I could send, The SS MB is a little different as it does not have holes in the bottom of the MB, but I guess you could use a regular one and seal the holes in the Bottom?

GE Extra Capacity Gas Dryer

Hi Melvin, at first you got me excited thinking you had one of the 30" wide 8 CF dryers [ some of these even had a 30,000 BTU burner ] but alas this is just the 27" extra deep dryer.

I did not care for these extra deep GE dryers, because of having the heater box underneath they had a rear drum seal and a very sensitive safety thermostat so the heat cycled a lot unless you had a short and perfect vent run so you ended up with a slow dryer.

Kenny, that’s a nice spot scrubber you have there. That’s the style I remember them being.

John, sorry to disappoint. I see the electric version of the dryer you speak of from time to time but I don’t think I’ve seen a gas one. I’ll keep my eyes peeled as now I want one. Were the 30” electric ones any good? I’ve worked on a few of those quite a few years ago now. Can you tell if one of these dryers is gas just by looking at the front of them? Was there an access panel?
