Uh-oh…I just tried placing this in Super…and it ended up in Imperial. It's probably not the right place, but the photos do refer to laundry room with washers, mangles, etc. that are well over 20 years old.

One of my favorite documentaries that PBS tv presented years ago, Britannia The Palace at Sea. After accidentally recording over nearly half of this treasured video, I found a copy that was uploaded to YouTube.
It features, in case you haven't watched this before, the daily operations of running this yacht, along with preparation to visit S.Africa.

I watched the blurred version on YouTube tonight and I thought some of you might enjoy a few stills from the documentary, even though you can view it yourself.

If anyone has a DVD version or a VHS copy that came from the original broadcast(not YouTube), I would be more than happy to pay for it. I have never seen a PBS offering for this documentary.

I wonder if they used Persil on ship?

thanks L

Yes, in the video that I would love to find on VHS in full or DVD, they mention how the crew was sourced. Those stories are great - I was thinking not more than a few days ago, what became of the last crew and wouldn't it be great to hear their stories?

Thanks again.
