Hey guys, since about 2014 also know I think household detergent uses phosphates although I’m honestly not entirely sure if that would include commercial laundry detergents Does anybody know where I can try and find some detergent specifically powder in Australia?

Well, I see that Australia has banned phosphated laundry detergents since 2014. However if this ban only applies to household detergents and not commercial ones, you might be able to buy some from the link below.

Alternatively, try contacting a local chemical warehouse to see if they can sell you some STPP (Sodium tripolyphosphate), which is the active ingredient in phosphated laundry detergents. If you can get some, try adding a tablespoon STPP as the washer is filling, followed by the regular detergent.
