Hi, I was on the boards for 3 seconds (well, maybe longer) about a year ago under another name but it doesn't seem to be working now. Anyway, I have a mid to late 90's Maytag Dependable Care washer (LAT9757aae) that leaks when I fill it more than half way. I took the front off and can see water dripping from the rubber seal that is between the driveshaft and the outer tub. I figure I've got a bad seal in the driveshaft tube, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the agitator. (Of course 10 years ago, I could and had to take apart the innards of my JC Penney washer to put the seal back in place when a big load dislodged it, but this ain't no GE based Penny's washer.) If anyone's had this problem with one of these machines and can offer some advice, HEEELLLPP!!!
Thanks,
Anthony
