OK up here

I'm up in the SF Bay Area, didn't feel anything here, of course (it's about 350 miles away).

The quake in LA was a 5.8, which is on the strong side of moderate - definitely enough to get one's attention!

So far there are no reports of damage/injuries, but something may have happened as yet unreported.

Whole Lotta Shakin' . . .

but not much else, at least in the San Fernando Valley part of Los Angeles. I was actually standing in front of the toilet and all of a sudden it felt like being in an airliner going through some turbulence. I think it was only a 5.6 or something, which is enough to rattle nerves but usually not much damage except perhaps to older buildings near the epicenter. I believe the epicenter was near Covina - perhaps Joe in Rialto will chime in as that is much closer than I am.

It was centered near Chino Hills, CA and about 8 miles underground. I know of no fatalities or destroyed buildings. Our state was lucky this time.

My family and our property are just fine, thank God.
