I guess I'm one of those who, while yes it IS very cool, doesn't want or need a vintage fridge SO bad I'm willing to drop $7K - $10K for a one. If my "fridge" budget was that high (it's not), I'd rather buy a new Subzero or similar.

I agree, way too high. Something closer to half of that would be a little more on the money.
Still, it's gotta be close to one of one, can't say I've seen, or even heard of one.

The heaviest appliance I ever tried to move

A working unit that was really dirty took forever to clean up for resale and then they just sat there on the sales floor. Back then people wanted space, not nostalgia. But you do have to admit this one is very clean and looks very complete. A thing of beauty is a joy forever...I guess.</span>

Just FYI, a silhouette of the Western Appliance neon sign is a prominent image on banners hanging from the lamp posts in what's now known as the "Midtown" neighborhood.
I heard that the airport made them remove the strobes from atop the three spires. That is so B.S.
