This Washer had been the worst machine I have ever owned. I bought it early this year. For first couple of months I loved it, because it looked sleek and was nearly silent. However around two months ago while it was in operation it made this loud "GGGRRRRRR-TTTTTSCCCHHHH!" sound and then a sound of grinding metal. It happened during the wash cycle. I looked it up and the issue was something to do with the drive shaft motor / the motor itself which would have been hundreds of dollars to replace, so instead of fixing it - it went right to the scrap yard.

I don't like how this machine had no Manual water level select knob, and it had no separate drain and spin feature. It also took forever to do the wash. Do not buy LG Washers. Certainly, do not buy this machine or one like it.

Have you tried heavy duty which did a deep rinse typically used for fabric softener? Mine is a Kenmore Elite front load by LG.
