Anyone have the LG WM3900?
Looking to buy a new set. Tempted to buy the speed queen stackable- but I feel that I need a water heater to break down sweat in clothes.

I tried to get my old fisher paykel washer to last a few more months. But it kept leaking too much- so I got the Neptune TL out of storage! Man, does that washer clean much better!

Neppy TLs handle some types of loads very well ... and some other types not very well at all.  Heavier-weight fabrics do much better than light-weight.  I once watched a load of 21 synthetic and synthetic-cotton blend button-down shirts through the entire wash period and it didn't roll over even one time.  I restarted the cycle and helped it along.

Yes, that is true. Most of my loads are cotton and big loads. So they normally have good turn over. I just wish the fisher paykel had a true hot water wash. Or at least the one I have.

F&P EcoSmart Hot Wash

Newer models with an Allergy cycle run a full-hot wash on that cycle best as I'm aware.

Older models with the recirculation function (GWL11, GWL15, WA37T26) can do it by setting the Perm Press cycle onto the Favorite button.  Press/hold Favorite to engage programming mode.  Select Perm Press, select Hot temperature, then press Favorite to save the selection.  Can then run a hot wash when desired by selecting Favorite (adjust the other options as/if desired).

If the temp is changed off hot in the course of setting the options (after the programmed Favorite is selected), it won't go back onto hot (IIRC) unless the power is turned off, back on, and Favorite selected again.

The purpose of programming Favorite this way is to run a machine-clean cycle (the procedure should be detailed in the User Guide) but it can be used to wash clothes.  Programming Perm Press on Favorite overrides the "fabric safety" limitation that prevents Hot temp from being selected on Perm Press.

If hot is desired on another cycle, select the programmed Favorite and a manual water level choice, let the machine fill, then cancel the cycle (turn off the Power if necessary), turn it back on, select the desired cycle and the same water level and Start.  The fill level is already at the selection so Eco Active will be skipped on cycles that would otherwise run it.

GWL10 has the "hidden" hot-wash cleaning cycle but it's programmed in a different way.

Got a new

Samsung 4.5 cu. t. front loader with "steam" a month ago. Does an excellent job!
I've washed huge mixed loads of bath towels, sheets, and a few garments together.
Everything came clean. Normal cycle default is medium heavy soil, warm wash with 2 rinses, and a final 2-pulse spray rinse. You can select up to 5 deep rinses. If you select steam, the water temp is 150f., and final rinse warm. It has 5 temp. settings, 5 soil levels, and up to 5 spin speeds up to 1200 r.p.m.
