On this F&P the lid switch is located front right hand corner under the washdeck, when the lid is closed the magnet in top right hand corner of the lid operates the switch
There's slight protrusion on the underside of the lid where the magnet is located. Placing a magnet of sufficient strength in the correct spot (to match the lid) on the edge of the top deck (approximately the circled area) will trigger the reed switch.
You'll need a substitute for the tab on the lid. I cut an old credit card to approximate the tab. The latch is a hook down inside the top. The tab presses down on the "foot" of the hook, which rotates the hook forward into the tab to latch/lock the lid. A slim knife or spoon handle aimed properly from the side may also work.
