I am sure some of the East Coast Members remember Sandy Becker.

He had a Children's Show in the mid 50s to mid to late 60s.

Remember when Smoking was Grand and the thing to do ???

This was the Theme Song that Burt Kaemfurt wrote.

Brings tears to my eyes as I remember this as a Child.

I remember Sandy Becker in Lucky Ads on TV - what a distinguished voice. Not too many like him today.

Always liked that song That Happy Feeling and "Wonderland By Night".

We did not have Sandy Becker out here, but "That Happy Feeling" seemed to be in regular rotation on my parents' favorite easy listening/beautiful music station, KBAY (originally KEEN) FM, on the 1962 French Provincial Wards Airline multiplex stereo console.  Reception was loud and clear.  Their station ID catch phrase was "From the Sierra to the sea" and they weren't kidding.

 

Of course, if they didn't hear it enough on the radio, they had Kaempfert's LP to load onto the record changer.

I really enjoy Kaempfert's music, he was a true great amongst easy listening composers and conductors.
