loud pump noise on the 1951 Kenmore

This is the Kenmore that I had to work the pump a little to free up. It is noiser than the other 51 Kenmore, so I see this oval hole at the top of the pump, is this for some oil? Sorry if I should already know this, but I am a little worried about it but otherwise it works fine and this is the current daily driver...

Yes you can squirt oil in the top of this opening to oil the pump.

Those are beautiful! Look like my '53 Kenmore set, but the finish on both needs help, as do the dials. Looking for a pump for the washer as the original froze up.

Hey, Northwesty, another thing. I have the same dryer (except two years later) and can't figure out where the lint filter is. Is it some kind of attachment to the exhaust vent in the back of the dryer?

No Lint Filter

Just frock the backyard, that's what I do.

This was cutting edge technology in its day, they just hadn't invented some of this stuff yet.

Those machines look absolutely brand new. The attention to detail in everything shows, even with your water and electric connections.

Beautiful job on the finish too.
