Magnetic Tub-Bottom Agitator

I've got a Camco LA295E-T (1970's? G.E.) top loading washing machine with a magnet driven agitator that sits flat on the bottom of the tub. There is no centre spindle.
It used to work great but some time last year the spinning agitator lost it's strength to spin with any clothes in the washer, it still works with water only.
I've pulled it out to investigate and found 4 small magnets inside the moulded plastic agitator that have grown very weak.
Does anyone have any idea where or how I might go about replacing this agitator or the magnets within it?

Some similar Magnets and can get these off of the Agitator, without any problems, I've found out from a Friend of mine about what is called Gorilla Glue. He used it on the Magnet of my Proctor-Silex Can Opener, just 1-drop of the Glue and we Binder-Clipped the Magnet and Plastic Cover and I let them sit actually for 48-hours, before Un-Clamping and it is holding perfectly now.

I believe my Friend told me that this Glue is Water-Proof, but I can ask him for sure Thursday Evening and update this Posting. Good Luck otherwise with your hopefully getting some Magnets and/or another Agitator and getting your Washer operating properly again real soon.

"BTW" as asked my many here, might you be able to Post some Pix's of your Washer, including the Tub and Agitator?

I now doubt it's magnetic...

Hi there, thanks for your reply.
I removed the agitator from the tub and I may have been wrong about the magnetic aspect of it. I tried holding a strong magnet to the 'contacts' but they are not metal nor magnetic.
This causes me confusion now.
I contacted GE and they gave me a discontinued part number that I am unable to find through any of the online part detectives (WH43M42). Does anyone have any thoughts regarding this?
Here's a pic of the tub (for curiosity). I'll follow with a pic of the agitator's underside.
