Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

So after mama died, daddy's mind started to go, so he had to move into an assisted living home. The nice next door neighbors helped him clean out the house, but didn't know what to do with the old, unused dryer. So they put it on eBay, where it sat and sat and sat. Until one day, a guy who was really fighting the hoarding urge gave into his urge, bought the dryer and drove from Atlanta to north of Detroit to get it.

I'm currently jockeying the stuff in the house around to get this installed and connected...

Atlanta to Detroit?

You do have a problem, Peter. We should probably form a support and have an intervention on your part.

STUPID ALUMIUM DUCTING

Peter I totally agree that is the worst stuff ever sold for dryer venting. I contend that its more dangerous than the cheap vinyl ducting, as it often doesn't stay attached and it collapses and has no chance of going back into shape. I refuse to use it at all.

Drying my first load of rags in the dryer. Relatively quiet, but it has a very distinctive thump. My guess is the belt for sitting so long. It seems to be mellowing out as it heats up.

Defintely belt... When I turn the drum by hand, the thump happens still rhythmically but at different places...[this post was last edited: 12/5/2010-18:34]
