What a nice pun, what an inviting place to be!
The pun:
DIE Mangel = mangle (ironer or wringer)
die Wirtschaft = pub, bar, hangout
but:
Mangelwirtschaft = economy of scarcity
(DER Mangel = the lack (of something))
(die Wirtschaft = the economy)

Can YOU wash and party and flirt at the same time?

but this is just the regular German word for "launderette".
Not like "saloon" (shooting cowboys and smashed whiskey glasses) but just:
"salon" (like beauty salon to get you going again)
Waschsalon = Launderette = where you put your laundry to get it going again ("straßenfein machen" = make it "street nice"/ "outdoor acceptable")

I love Mangelwirtschaft, just for the wording it makes me feel good.
And the cafeteria looks more than inviting, don't you think?
I could easily imagine sitting there and explaining my hobby to some non-believer *gg* (some guys mistake us for mentally decaying, as I have noticed).
This would be a good place to overcome that.

Nice wig-wagging away (for belt-drives) and have a nice cuppa (for those frothed-milk afficionados).

German for "laundrette," but I still think it's a nice word.

I was thinking "salon" as in a regular conversation group or the website Salon.
