Swing-A-Way...

double gear. I have two, one that belonged to my parents, and one that I bought, both at least fifteen years old, and never have issues with them. While I don't have a dishwasher, I do wash the openers after use, with my regular dishwashing.

The opener that belonged to my parents replaced an earlier Swing-A-Way that I recall from my childhood.

Great and durable opener!

It seems that Swing-A-Way takes the lead in can opening.

Is the Kitchen aid a spinoff of S-W-A?

The vintage hand-held Swing-Away opener that I use most has avocado vinyl handles, and a bottle opener hook on the underside. I think I paid $1 for it at an estate sale.  It was so nasty when I brought it home, but it washed up like new in the dishwasher.  Maybe all the nasty stuff protected it over the years. lol
