Maybe lighted console ranges aren't all gone?

Last week on Craigslist I noticed an ad for a GE Profile Spectra white smoothtop range. It had a bluish light on the control panel. I had wondered about that because some of these seem to be glass panels behind the knobs.

Then I saw this photo of a newer (maybe still in production) Kenmore Elite range. The button below the number 7 says "Accent Light". Is that some kind of backlight? Hmm, maybe lighted consoles aren't gone after all?
