I have a couple quick questions for you vintage Maytag experts. All of the bulbs in my recently acquired 142's are missing. I want to purchase new ones, but need to know the exact wattage for the dial light and tub light. The dial light sockets have 75 W stamped on them, but 75 watts seems excessive (if that's what the W stands for). Also, was there supposed to be a starting capacitor for the florescent bulb? I tried to search the forum, but didn't have much luck per details. In addition, the hose connection for the washer has the siphon break connected with no additional hose. I want to connect the washer to a standard wall drain and would like to know if I am supposed to remove the siphon break or keep it and attach a new piece of hose to it. I am new collecting vintage washer/dryers so these may seem like very basic questions for most of you and apologize ahead!

My YA700 and DG701 came with 10 watt bulbs in the dial light sockets(both burned out of course). The tub light should be 15 watts. Both bulbs are C7 bayonet bases and should look like those in the photo. The longer cylindrical bulb is the old tub light and the other is the dial light. The box in the background is full of new dial light bulbs like the one on the left in the photo.

Here's a link for the dial light bulbs.
