Would love to have another set

This was on the same street we just moved from in LA to Pasadena!
Oh well. Using the LK 800 in Pasadena. But this would be a good back up set for there.

Well I got them!

They ended giving them to me for free as they had to get them out. I had a hard time finding someone to get them and paid $200 for them to pickup and deliver and setup. So I'm happy and the couple who bought the house didn't want them trashed. So everyone is happy.

A single woman had them and lived in a beautiful tudor for the last 65 years.

She had all the original paper work and books as well as all service records since the purchase in 1979 of the set.

So they had very minamal use and excellent care!

WOWZERS!!

CONGRATULATIONS!

That's definitely a good story, everyone all the way around was HAPPY at the end!
:o)

Doing the HAPPY DANCE for you on this side of the computer
;o)

Awww...

Have a great holiday weekend there in California too!
And keep us posted on your newest Maytag set after you test them out and have them up & running!
;o)

I wish I could have gotten them, but at least they went to a good home. I am having trouble trying to sell the 2006 Kenmore FL set. The Kenmore FL set is in okay shape, but I need to install the new control panel since the one that is on there got a little damaged from the wind storms last December. I also have a early 90's Maytag electric dryer I also need to sell.

I would have gotten that A806 set, but the dryer unfortunately wasn't a Halo Of Heat model. The Stream Of Heat dryer design isn't a bad design, but it isnt as interesting as a Halo Of Heat dryer.

One day I'll own a Maytag Halo Of Heat dryer, but I don't know if I'll get one anytime soon.

Old thread

Here’s the Maytag A806 set I finished putting together last month. Got the washer from waterwitch in Pomona, dryer was a existing DE306 that has been outfitted with the later style of 808 console.

Thanks Christina! It took some time to find all the stuff I needed, but was well worth the wait. Since the dryer doesn’t have the electronic dry control, should run for a long, long time. Plus, it has features that weren’t available from 1966 to 1975. The only thing I have left is give my Maytag A806 a cosmetic restoration to the cabinet and find a way to lubricate the brake assembly.
