Maytag A882 Washer question

Hello!
I have a question about a 1980 Maytag A882. I saw a video on youtube of a Maytag and I dontknow if it has the long stroke or fast short stroke mode? Here is the link A882https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MUvVDd2Bbg

That's a short stroke transmission.  Most likely made between July 1989 and June of 1990.

It has a turquoise agitator...

so that means it has the old Power Fin agitator and the long stroke Helical Drive transmission if it had the short stroke transmission it would have a redesigned agitator that would be white.....and from the design and color of the control panel this machine was made between circa 1985 and 1990.........PAT COFFEY

Well actully, the re-designed one's come in white, but they can come in turquise too.

If you actually watch the video you will see when he shows the shots under the tub that it's the short stroke orbital transmission.

these brown control panels units were the transition stage from pitman to orbital trannies....I have seen them with either one, depends on what year they were built....

if you watched the video closely, as he had the front off, you can clearly see the orbital tranny...even the top of the agitator was a good clue that it was orbital as well...

any exlarge capacity orbital can benefit from the LoadSensor agitator....
