This is a weird group. They say that you get to place a free ad with a paid membership. I joined and paid, but did not receive any newsletter until just before my membership expired and never saw the ad on line or in print. Maybe they knew what I did to the 1965 Highlander, in which case, I admit I deserved the treatment I received.

Tom, what did you do?

Oh boy ... Tom what DID you do to the 1965 Highlander?

I belong to this group and have been a member since about 1997. They are going through some major changes and hopefully, will have a new look to their newsletter and web pages soon.

Actually, there is a lot of information available from these folks. The Club had their meeting in Newton over Memorial Day weekend and made changes to their "structure". They also were saying "goodbye" to the Maytag Employee Store; it's now almost defunct. The Jasper County Museum in Newton has moved their Maytag display to the first floor now.

1965 Highlander

Let's just say that it was a cheap looking ugly exhibit of what a company could do to rub it in that you bought the cheap end of the line. We had 2 very deluxe, beautiful washers, the 58 LK and the 63 GE before this A500. It did some strange things. They picked it up and gave us a check.
