Disconnected Buzzer ?
Someone may have hatted the buzzer.
I have had hundreds of customers over the years that have had me disconnect the buzzer on dryers where you could not adjust or turn the damn thing off.

Okay, I thought so, thank you. I need to replace the power cord, and I'll try it out. One more thing, how important is it to have the cover on the end of the heating element, mine is missing. I found it wasn't there when I looked to see if the belt was broke, which it is. Thankfully I have a belt, but no cover
If one could would disconnect buzzer on my Whirlpool dryer. The thing is loud enough to wake the dead. When doing laundry late or over night one has to rush over to dryer before it stops to prevent that darned buzzer from going off.
Heat Shield In Front Of The Heater On A MT SOH Dryer
The purpose of the heat shield is to keep the front of the dryer cooler in case children etc touch the lower front of the machine, if you are not worried about the surface temperature the dryer will work just fine without it.
Hi Laundress, all you have to do to disconnect the buzzer on your compact WP dryer is remove the 4 screws at the back of the top and lift the top off and unplug one of the two wires on the buzzer and tape the loose wire so it does not touch anything.
PS, unplug the dryer first.

For some time now the AEG Lavatherm dryer has been stacked on top of Whirlpool dryer. So that's me for you....

Good deal, I've tried looking for that cover to no avail. I think I'll put a toggle switch on the buzzer for those late night loads of kids soccer gear. I'm kind of excited to try the auto cycles. I just wish it had the low temp option, could you modify it with the switch and change the thermostat to the dual setup or should I just leave it be as is?
