Maytag Electric Dryer

I remember this dryer. Finally one has come up on the classified lottery wheel.
This is the first dryer we had. In 1976, when my Dad bought my Mother a new WH Silver Anniversary set and the dealer was delivering, they let me keep the dryer knob and buttons. That dryer had the door handle vs the standard knob that seems to be on the majority of MTs.
I remember getting a chair and pushing it over to the machine so I could get up there and look at the controls. I never could figure out how to make the light come on (push and hold). lol. I was 5.

That’s the dryer I’d probably choose to pair up with a Maytag A700 if I had one. Simple timer along with temperature selections, not much to go wrong with these dryers other than thermostats, heating element, motor, drum and console light.
