Congratulations!! Really nice machines. They are activated when you to choose one of the cycle buttons. I believe the console light comes on only when the machine is operating.

Enjoy using them!

OMG

Really, you don't know how to turn them on. Maybe daddy Steven should come give you a lesson on how to use a Maytag. Until then, you only are allowed ONE (1) set until you understand how to operate, repair, keep clean, and name every part by memory when asked!

Good Luck! Very nice find

Dreams do happen -pastel yellow is one of my fav's.

You'll soon learn how to plug it in, turn it on, wind it up, blow it out….oh, sorry, that's from an oldtimer song from the 1960's, "Little GTO" but it almost applies to getting your machine up and running. It can't be THAT hard to operate, or they wouldn't have sold so many.

Best wishes on your new "toy". :-)

It could well be that the washer needs to think it's full before the timer will kick in and start the motor for wash action; I can't for the life of me remember what the A702 washer does (It's been in storage for too long..... LOL)

some guys have all the luck!

You  might want to consider what neighbors, friends and family members would say if they saw these tired old machines in your garage or laundry room, especially given that they're passe' yellow. Why not avoid the embarrassment and heartache and let me drive to Tucson and take them off your hands?

CONGRATULATIONS!!

On your great find there mark!
Ha ha ha...

Very cool!!

Can't wait to come over & check them out
;o)

I had them in the back of my truck. Drove from Long Beach to Phoenix, passing through Palm Springs. If I would have known you were intrested in them too, I would have started a bidding war. LOL. I passed through the day prior to the bridge being washed out. Glad I didn't wait an extra day.

Mark, you can use any screw type hose clamp from a hardware or auto parts store, they don't need to be Maytag specific.

Also, why does the pump need to be replaced, is it leaking?
